Join GirlSpring and Flourish MD for this fun, interactive talk for girls ages 8 to 12 (and their moms or guardians). Girls will hear from Dr. Ashley Gooding, board certified OB/GYN, about what’s going on with their bodies, puberty, empowerment, and more.

IVF is on the Ballot: An Evening of Stories, Awareness, and Action
Our own AshLeigh Dunham is running for Alabama Supreme Court, and her campaign is hosting a very special screening of Show Me the Line, a documentary that follows four women (including Girls’ Girl Veronica Wehby!)in the wake of Alabama’s devastating Supreme Court decision affecting IVF access. Monday Meals
Join Girls’ Girl as we volunteer with Monday Meals, serving our unhoused neighbors by delivering hope and kindness, along with meals, water, and hygiene kits.
Champagne & Fried Chicken
Benefiting Birmingham’s chapter of Les Dames d'Escoffier, which to date has awarded nearly $300,000 in grants and scholarships to women across Alabama pursuing culinary and hospitality careers. This year, there are two ways to enjoy the event: the signature drive-through for grab-and-go and a full-on party at Pepper Place on 29th Street with table service and live music. Either way, you'll enjoy a gourmet picnic for two featuring Southern-fried chicken produced on site by the Dames along with homemade sides, desserts, fresh flowers, and a cold bottle of bubbles.
Haute Pink
Haute Pink is the marquee fundraiser for Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center. Ten designers are paired with Forge’s special models, all of whom have been impacted by breast cancer as a survivor, co-survivor, previvor, or health care provider, to create a custom outfit for the fashion show, where they will walk the runway and then share the stage with their designer.
Proceeds from Haute Pink benefit Forge’s mission to improve medical access, health outcomes and quality of life for breast cancer patients, survivors and those who love them.

Every Brilliant Thing
Our own Morgan Smith is bringing the Broadway phenomenon Every Brilliant Thing to Birmingham, and we couldn’t be more proud! This one-woman show (played on Broadway by Mariska Hargitay and Tracee Ellis Ross) will make you laugh and cry and remember all of the brilliant things that make life worth living. Shows are happening across 4 venues: High Dive, Golden Age Wine Garden, Levite JCC, and General.

Proceeds from the race benefit the Laura Crandall Brown Foundation, which provides GYN cancer programs to women, patients, and caregivers throughout the year, focusing on early detection research, awareness education, and support services for GYN cancer patients and families.
Rooted: Women in Food
A market take-over featuring female artisans, chef demos, book signings, conversation and more, Rooted: Women in Food presented by Baptist Health Women’s Medical Center is part of the Market’s month-long tribute to Women in Food and is part of the Southbound Food Festival.
This year, Legacy in Motion explores the lineage of Southern cooking – celebrating Southern women chefs, their culinary influences and the traditions they carry forward. The morning will feature four contemporary chefs honoring the women who inspired them, each through a live cooking demo and panel discussion – Carrying Legacy Forward – a conversation on influence, tradition, and sharing, with Q&A woven throughout. Surrounded by female farmers, artisans, and makers, the event cultivates conversation, connection, and a deeper appreciation for the role women play in our food system.
Ticketed guests can continue the experience at a Rooted Meet & Greet presented by Atlanta Dairies – featuring brunch cocktails by local female mixologists, bites from Hot and Hot Fish Club, and time to connect with the chefs.
Autumn Happy Hour
Our quarterly happy hour, this time at Lucky Stranger in Avondale, where three of the four owners are women. Snacks are on us, drinks are on you, and Circles meet immediately after. Come and bring a friend!

Sidewalk Film Festival
The 28th Annual Sidewalk Film Festival has been recognized as a top 25 film festival by MovieMaker Magazine and by TIME Magazine as one of the Top 10 Festivals for the Rest of Us. With our own Girls’ Girl Chloe Cook at the helm, Sidewalk brings hundreds of films to Birmingham, with a dedicated track for Women in Film, along with civil and social issues in the Life & Liberty track, Black filmmakers in the Black Lens track, and LGBTQ+ filmmakers and content with the SHOUT track. One of Birmingham’s very best events!

- For women or girls, or benefiting women or girls. It does not have to be women-only.
- A real date, a real address, and a real link. If any of the three is missing, we’ll hold it until you have them.
- Anyone can submit. You do not have to be a Girls’ Girl, and it does not have to be your own event.
- Send it at least two weeks out when you can, so there’s time for it to be seen.
